Wedding Venue Abilene
An Unforgettable Wedding Experience At The Sayles Landmark, Abilene, Texas!
You’ve met your special someone. You’ve decided that you want to spend the rest of your lives together. Now it is time to plan the wedding of a lifetime. Since you two share a special love, you want your wedding to be unique. Your family and friends will be joining you in this celebration and you want it to be a memorable experience for everyone.
Many couples are choosing destinations for their wedding that make the days surrounding the event double as a vacation for both the couple and their guests. Couples are looking for an elegant outdoor wedding venue that is close to many things to do and also offers places to stay for the wedding party and extended family and friends.
The Sayles Landmark offers an event venue that is well suited to an outdoor wedding and reception, a rehearsal dinner, wedding party accommodations and guest accommodations, and even your honeymoon. The Landmark is an upscale bed and breakfast set in a historic 1889 Queen Anne house In Abilene, Texas. You can have your outdoor wedding ceremony in the Landmark’s arbor terrace constructed of Abilene brick. The arbor terrace is interspersed with posts filled with climbing white roses surrounded by a grass lawn and tall trees and flanked by an azure pool with a gurgling fountain. The arbor terrace also has tables and chairs available for hosting both a rehearsal dinner the night before your special day and a reception immediately following your ceremony.
The Landmark as a whole offers a historic glimpse of life during a more rustic time, but each individual room is thoroughly equipped with modern conveniences such as flat screen TVs, high speed wireless internet, top quality mattresses and plush bath towels. The wedding party may choose to enjoy both the luxury and the convenience of staying in any of the six guest rooms at the Landmark before the special event. The lure of the high thread count bed linens and luxury bath amenities combined with the privacy of en suite showers and triple door locks make it a good choice for the wedding couple to remain for the honeymoon.
If you have a large wedding party or many family members coming from out of town, the Sayles Ranch Guesthouses are also available. Each house is a separate dwelling with unique decorations (from a wall papered in 1890’s property deeds to a headboard constructed from a 1957 Chevy truck). The designer, Terry Browder, describes the overall style of the houses as John Wayne goes to Starbucks. You can rent any size house from the one bedroom Hideout which houses two people to the four bedroom City Slickers which sleeps ten. Just be sure to book well in advance if you need to accommodate a lot of family and friends.
Your wedding location should be a special place that will offer a memorable experience that you can relive again and again through your wedding photographs. Having a place to stay where you can rekindle your wedding memories each year on your anniversary is a bonus. Choose your wedding so that it will make a strong statement about your personal style and provide a lasting memory for you and your guests.
