Bootmaker – Abilene Luxury Bed and Breakfast
Sayles Landmark – Luxury Bed and Breakfast – Bootmaker
What we like about this room: It’s the largest, upstairs room and is in the back of the house, with wonderful light from the windows of the opposing dormers. It has fabulous angles and beautiful, antique crystal chandeliers.
One of the memorable features of this room is the accent wall of antique ceiling tin which was sourced from the ceiling of a 100 year old boot maker’s shop in Winters, Texas. The head board of the King size bed was innovated from a pair of 19th century, brass, twin beds, with velvet tufted upholstered panels. Additional heritage materials include bead board walls and ceilings and a couple of fabulous, crystal chandeliers. The room is accessorized with a Victorian era Elk antler trophy, an antique oil painting of a forest fire, and a vintage leather club chair. This room also desk, a leather love seat and is equipped with a mini fridge, high speed, wireless internet, a 42 inch flat screen television, DVD player and conveniently located electrical connections on each side of the bed that include a pair of standard outlets and a pair of USB ports for all those devices that we all have these days. A superior quality mattress and high thread count sheets are an expected amenity to such a fabulous room, as well.
The en suite bathroom’s vanity sink was repurposed from an antique French buffet and topped with Carrera Marble and polished nickel faucets. The extra roomy shower is tiled with subway tile and trimmed with Carrera Marble, as well. A hair dryer and luxury bath amenities are provided.
