Wedding Venue? Anniversary? Or Just A Romantic Getaway?
The outdoor wedding venue is beautiful by day and spectacular by night! When no weddings are scheduled, you may lounge in the outdoor seating area and chat about upcoming plans or discuss experiences of the day.
The Sayles Landmark Bed And Breakfast is truly unique. Your luxury lodging experience is framed in a historic century old home built by one of the first influential families in Abilene, Texas – Henry Sayles.
Pricing starts at a mere $195 per night. Browse the images below and check out our Rooms Page for more information.
Most notably for a home of this vintage, each room has its own PRIVATE BATHROOM.
Just look at these images:
The house is an excellent local example of a late Victorian-era dwelling. It features finely-executed Queen Anne details, including porches with turned wood posts and balusters, jigsawn brackets and frieze, shingled and decorative wood gable ends, and a decorative brick chimney. Don’t let the age of the structure worry you. Terry Browder, the current owner and proprietor has remodeled, and brought up to code, “10” luxurious properties in Abilene. Each home is unique in design and style.
His latest entry, the Sayles Landmark B&B, has benefitted from his previous projects. This romantic getaway B&B includes all the trappings of modern life, from wifi, USB ports by the bed and even extra space for a CPAP machine or other appliance if needed.
Even though the home is over “100” years old, is not drafty. It is fully weather stripped. It has been prepared for your comfort and convenience as well as luxury.
Abilene Texas is a city steeped in history.
It is not a huge metropolitan city like Dallas or Houston. Our population is only about 129,000.
Even though Texas is a very hot place to stay in the summer, Abilene temperatures are only an average of 94 degrees in our hottest month of July.
Things to do in Abilene include: Frontier Texas (14,000-square-foot Hi-tech museum of the American West), the Abilene Zoo, World famous Perini Ranch Steakhouse, Abilene State Park, “live” theatre, dinner theatre, tennis, skating, movie theaters, shopping centers, miniature golf, and even motor sports.
There are plenty of places to stay in Abilene, but the ultimate lodging experience can be found only at the Sayles Landmark.
If you are looking for a memorable Wedding, Honeymoon, Anniversary or even just an unforgettable Romantic Getaway, the Sayles Landmark is where you need to stay.
If you have a large wedding party with several guests (families) that need lodging, we may be able to accommodate them at one or several of our Sayles Ranch Guesthouses. Their interiors were designed and built by Terry Browder to the same quality standards as the Sayles Landmark.
You can find more information about the Sayles Ranch Guesthouses here.
